‘Irma Boom: Biography in Books’ genomineerd voor Brit Insurance Design Awards 2011

'Irma Boom: Biography in books', dat Boom ontwierp voor haar 2010-tentoonstelling bij de Bijzondere Collecties, staat op de shortlist van de Brit Insurance Design Awards 2011.

Sinds 1 januari 2019 zijn het Allard Pierson Museum en de Bijzondere Collecties samen het Allard Pierson.

Op 17 januari is in Londen de shortlist bekendgemaakt van de
prestigieuze Brit Insurance Design Awards, die dit jaar voor de vierde keer worden georganiseerd. De negentig genomineerden bestrijken zeven disciplines. Een van de 'graphics nominees' is het meer dan 700 pagina's tellende Irma Boom: Biography in Books. Dit miniboekje ontwierp Boom voor haar 2010-tentoonstelling bij de Bijzondere Collecties.

De jury van de Brit Insurance Design Awards bestaat dit jaar uit Stephen Bayley (voorzitter), Janice Blackburn, Mark Farrow, Will Self, Penny Sparke en Simon Waterfall. Een tentoonstelling met alle ontwerpen van de shortlist is van 16 februari tot 7 augustus te zien in het Design Museum Londen. Op 15 maart zal de uiteindelijke winnaar worden bekendgemaakt.
