Zeur niet! (don’t whine!)
- Date 9 April - 30 October
Annie M.G. Schmidt and Harry Bannink are regarded as the founders of the Dutch musical. Together they made seven musicals between 1965 and 1984, notable for their political commitment and Broadway-like show elements.
In the process they left their mark on the genre and put the musical on the map in their home country. Zeur niet! is a cheerful exhibition that sheds new light on the musical in the Netherlands and the versatility of the duo Annie M.G. Schmidt and Harry Bannink. The exhibition also offers fascinating insight into social developments in the country in the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s, which have remained remarkably relevant to this day!
The exhibition texts are bilingual, but many video and audio clips do not have English subtitles.
