At the Allard Pierson, research is being conducted into the collection of Roman glass. Various parties are involved in this research, including TU Delft. Technical research into antique glass is being done there so that we can eventually say more about the composition of the glass, production techniques, etc. This should also provide more clarity about the archaeological origin of the glass. For this research project, we are looking for an intern who will help the curator in gathering references and analyses research on archaeometrical studies of ancient glass (scientific techniques applied to antique glass) and report back to the research group. Contribution to publications is one of the possibilities.
